What is a Bespoke Application?

You may have heard the term Bespoke Application or Bespoke Software but not quite sure what it is. A bespoke application is software created for you to meet your needs. It is designed and developed solely based on what you require and nothing more, almost like having a tailored made suit. eDataManagement use the latest software technologies to develop your bespoke application and we keep you informed the entire way so the end result is no surprise and the software fits your needs exactly.

Our Approach

We recommend that your bespoke application is built up in a modular fashion. This essentially means it is developed in a manner that you are not overwhelmed by functions and options in your application. Instead you start with a simple application, like a building block, and then make requests as and when you require your bespoke application to do more. These bulding blocks consist of modules and reports as explained below.

Module

A Module within your bespoke application is essentially a set of information which you are able to add to, edit, search, delete. For each module you will decide what fields it will contain, e.g. Name, age, date etc. You can get a feel for what a module via our free software trial.

Reports

Your bespoke application will have a section from where to launch reports. These reports are based on the data that will be stored in your bespoke application and will be printable or saved to your pc.

Manual

eDataManagement will provide a manual for your bespoke application based on the choices you have made on how it should function. You will also have access to the support email address in case of problems or queries.

Software Support

A software support contract covers you against minor changes and online training help. Below is a brief guideline on what a software support contract would offer you:

• Log a support issue at any time using our email support address
• Support offered Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday excluding public holidays
• Textual changes to labels/default values/menu options within the bespoke application
• Textual changes to labels within reports
• Reminders on how to function your bespoke application
• Advice on advancing your bespoke application

Any Bugs are fixed free regardless of whether you have a software support contract or not. Some work may fall into the category of additional, this will not be covered by the software support contract. See below for more details.

Additional Work

Any changes you request that is not covered by the software support contract will fall under the category of additional work. We will discuss your requirements and based on what you need will give you a quote for the work. Once you give the go ahead, we will carry out the bespoke development and send your changes. The next time you launch your application it will be updated. Below are some examples of additional work you may require:

• Export module - Exporting data to excel or other applications
• Reports - You may require further reports than the initial reports in your bespoke application
